About the Role
We’re hiring a Garden Centre Assistant Team Lead to help guide our team and keep our garden centre running smoothly day-to-day.
This is a hands-on leadership role — perfect for someone who enjoys working with plants, leading by example, and taking pride in creating a space that feels full, fresh, and inviting.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Lead, support, and coach our team on the sales floor
• Help manage daily garden centre operations
• Ensure plants are healthy, watered, and beautifully presented
• Assist customers with friendly, knowledgeable, solution-based service
• Train team members on plant care and product knowledge
• Maintain clean, organized, and visually inspiring indoor & outdoor spaces
• Monitor plant health and respond quickly to any issues
• Execute attractive, sales-driven displays
• Communicate regularly with ownership and your team
What We’re Looking For
• Strong interest in plants, gardening, or horticulture
• Previous garden centre, nursery, or retail experience
• Natural leadership ability with a team-first mindset
• Someone who takes pride in doing things right and notices the details
• Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused
• Reliable, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working weekends and holidays
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions
